The Bedford Park neighbourhood is geared toward families with young children. It has an excellent selection of public and private schools, many parkettes and playgrounds, community centres, a library, and convenient access to Toronto's transit system.

Bedford Park's original housing stock was built mostly in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Since then, many of the bungalows in the neighbourhood have recently been torn down and replaced with custom designed houses. 

Bedford Park homes are always in demand as this neighbourhood is known for its great schools, amenities and access to public transit. Wanless Park is the largest park in the neighbourhood with tennis and basketball courts, baseball diamonds, wading pools, and playgrounds. Wanless Park is also close to the Bedford Park Community Centre which provides the neighbourhood with a gymnasium and an indoor pool with seasonal programming for residents of all ages.
