The Bridle Path

The Bridle path is the most affluent and prestigious neighbourhood in Canada. This area has been home to prominent Toronto business professionals, celebrities, doctors, and engineers. Known to house the “Who’s Who” of Canada, many celebrities like Prince, Celine Dion and Conrad Black have called this neighbourhood home.  Each home has a unique design and story and few roads pass through the area, contributing to it’s exclusivity. The Bridle Path is a quiet, secluded neighbourhood surrounded by the Don River Valley and lush parklands.

First developed in 1827, the actual "Bridle Path" name came about as early plans for the neighbourhood included an elaborate system of equestrian bridle paths, as most of the estate owners in the area preceding its development were horse-owners. In 1929, when the Bayview bridge was built, the plans were reconsidered to develop an exclusive enclave of estate homes. While the paths have since been paved over, their legacy remains in the Bridle Path's wide streets and in the name of this elite community.

This luxurious neighbourhood has large lots, most over two acres, which allows its residents to build their dream homes in close proximity to downtown Toronto.
