In his youth, he was an award-winning sprinter whose Ontario track record still stands. Being first across the finish line requires great stores of self discipline and drive. Today, instead of races, he runs his own career as a top-rated real estate professional. A respected member since 1992 of RE/MAX Realtron Realty Inc. Brokerage, Barry sells properties across the Greater Toronto Area. So successful is he in York Mills, that peers recognize him as the area's #1 sales person for the amount of homes sold year after year, since 1996 (TREB stats for C12).
The RE/MAX Corporation also acknowledged him as the #1 individual sales person in Canada, and #3 worldwide. Barry came to the business after first founding and operating a profitable office furniture business while a university student. While sales were strong, an innate passion for architecture lead the self-starter to consider a career in real estate. Upon covering for a colleague, in a new home subdivision that had not seen a sale in months, his fate was sealed. Barry had quickly identified a marketing mode that ultimately achieved seven immediate home sales for their client. Success followed upon success, and soon he was supreme in his field. An annual recipient of the RE/MAX Chairman Club's Award, an inductee into the corporation's Hall of Fame and holder of its Lifetime Achievement Award status, Barry last year was granted the Circle of Legends award, RE/MAX's highest honour.
